Hi Guy's, I have just finished a brew of Coopers Real Ale. The OG was 1066(!) & FG 1004. I checked the hygrometer on plain water & got 1. My only question is - Real Ale, is it supposed to be quite bitter? The head is very good after 6 days (I know - 2 to 3 weeks before tasting but...) & no normal 'home-brew' taste or smell (yeasty). It is quite bitter though. Any clues? Llew
